Hi, I’m Chris Irish, MS, RD, LDN

Growing up, two of my biggest passions were food and sports. I loved participating in sports, particularly basketball, cross-country and track, and I loved watching sports (go Celtics!). It wasn’t until high school when I discovered how interrelated these two passions were. As a young athlete, I was fascinated by the ways in which food and nutrition could be utilized as a means of improving or impeding performance.

It was also around this time when I discovered just how common disordered eating and eating disorders are in the sports world. To dive more deeply into these interests, I chose to study nutrition in my home state at the University of Vermont.

I then moved to Boston to attend more Celtics games and to complete my Masters of Science in Nutrition from Boston University before undergoing my Dietetic Internship. I am now a Registered Dietitian who is passionate about ALL things nutrition, and I especially love helping others improve their relationship with food. I cannot WAIT to meet you and help you navigate your food and nutrition goals.

My Approach

I will work with you collaboratively utilizing a personalized and evidence-based approach. During our first virtual nutrition consultation, I will ask questions to better understand you, your goals and your unique needs before developing goals and a plan.

We will then continue our work together to help you reach your goals. Once signed up for a package, I offer 24/7 support between sessions via a secure messaging platform, and I offer personalized resources, handouts and exercises along the way.

No matter what your goals are, one of my goals remains the same: By working together, I hope to help strengthen your relationship with food so that you can truly appreciate and enjoy food again.

I know that it can be especially challenging to feel confident in your food choices and in your relationship with food when the information floating around us is often so conflicting, and often so insensitive to the complex nature of health. I want to empower you to feel confident. I want to simplify nutrition for you so that you can shift your focus on what matters MOST to you in life.
